TJ Norris is an artist whose studio practice has concentrated in the hybrid of media, often experiential and immersive. Since the late 1980's Norris has shown internationally. He is a practicing independent contemporary art curator and freelance writer. Norris has also been culturally active, assisting in lectures, critiques and events with various organizations in the Pacific Northwest. He has been a regular journalist/contributor to the experimental music scene including pieces written for Signal to Noise, Grooves, Paris Transatlantic, Igloo Magazine, Leonardo/MIT Press and others. Between 2002-03 Norris founded his signature gallery, Soundvision, "One of the Top Ten Best Places in Portland" (The Oregonian).
